Fall Reading List

Fall Reading List

While I love to just grab a book from my parents' beautifully curated (and elegantly decorated) library, I do have a list of books that I am hoping to get swept up in this fall. I am enjoying this delightfully warm weekend, but the thought of the cool, fall air and curling up on the sofa with a good book sounds divine.

Click on the titles below to learn more and to order a book for cozy autumn reading.

LESS by Andrew Sean Greer

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, Less is a globetrotting adventure that is about love, making mistakes, and facing a milestone birthday. I’m excited to have a fun read!

EDUCATED by Tara Westover

Tara Westover’s story is about her incredibly unorthodox upbringing in a survivalist family in Idaho with no formal education. I look forward to reading how she goes on to earn a PhD at Cambridge University.

WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING by Delia Owens

I love a murder mystery and I love a period novel and this is both, but also comes with a seemingly touching coming of age tale, set on the North Carolina coast.

TALKING TO STRANGERS by Malcolm Gladwell

I have long been a Malcolm Gladwell fan (author of The Tipping Point and Outliers) so when I heard that he has a new book out, I’m already chomping at the bit to learn what life altering information he’s now discovered.

THE GIRL WHO SMILED BEADS by Clemantine Wamariya and Elizabeth Weil

Clemantine Wamariya endured the genocide in Rwanda as a young girl and lives to tell her tale of courage and empowerment. Clementine was adopted by my family members in Chicago and is thriving now so I’m particularly excited to learn her story.
