And What's a Zodiac?
The Zodiac refers to the apparent path of the sun in the sky over the course of the year, starting with the spring equinox. An astrological chart is divided into 12 equal sections (called houses), each ruled by a different sign.
The first house of the Zodiac, for example, is ruled by the sign Aries. The second house is ruled by Taurus, and so on through the twelfth house, which is ruled by Pisces.

For example, the sun might enter Virgo on August 22 one year, and on August 23 the next.
