Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented, trustworthy Inventory Control Specialist with prior inventory control or fine jewelry production experience.

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for identifying and organizing components needed to fulfill work orders, maintaining inventory records, conducting physical inventory counts, and communicating accurate information about inventory on hand.

Examples of Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Moving inventory in and out of the safe
  • Precious stones, diamonds, precious metal, semi-precious stones
  • Maintaining daily inventory log
  • Updating Quickbooks with daily inventory changes
  • Analyze work orders and pull necessary components to complete work orders, keep accurate records of inventory used per work order
  • Catalog and verify new inventory as it arrives prior to distribution to appropriate departments
  • Review purchase invoice and report any delivery discrepancies to management
  • Obtain certification of new inventory from Quality Control prior to entering into Quickbooks
  • Daily physical inventory audit of diamonds on hand
  • Track inventory of precious metal scrap material
  • Complete randomized audits of inventory to match items on hand to database records and report any discrepancies immediately
  • Maintain appropriate amounts of inventory to meet company goals (KPIs)
  • Set reorder points in Quickbooks for all components and monitor inventory levels; report
  • Perform end of month inventory
  • In partnership with team leads, move and track inventory throughout production studio at different stages of production

  • Adaptability and problem solving: You are always ready to take advantage of unexpected opportunities and address obstacles. You look for the root of both simple and complex problems, so you can seek solutions. You approach work with a spirit of “yes” and adapt as things change, which they often do.


  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 18+ years of age
  • Exceptional math and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 2+ years prior experience in inventory management, strong preference for prior experience in fine jewelry manufacturing
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Quickbooks, databases and spreadsheets
  • Desire for growth and excellence in the workplace

Compensation & Schedule

This position is full time, non-exempt hourly with an anticipated 37.5 - 40 hours per week regularly scheduled Monday through Friday.

During the busy seasons (February, May, November, December) the Inventory Control Specialist will regularly be expected to work days up to 12 hours as well as Saturdays and Sundays. Overtime pay at a rate of time and a half will be paid for any hours worked above 40 in the week as well as Saturdays and Sundays.
